얼마 전 아이패드가 키보드폴리오 인식을 못해 애플샵으로 AS를 받으러 갔다. 키보드폴리오가 잦은 결함이 발생한다는 정보를 입수하고 문제가 거기에 있다는 생각으로 방문을 했으나 의외로 아이패드가 문제였다. AS센터에서는 아이패드를 신제품으로 교체해 주겠다고 했다. 보증기간이 지나지 않아서 무상교체가 가능하다는 답변. 사용하면서 아이패드 바디에 약간의 스크레치가 마음아팠던 차에 반갑게 교환에 응했다. 하지만 교체 후 우려했던 대로 어플을 다시 설치하는 문제가 생겼다. 앱스토어에서 설치했던 어플들을 재설치 하는것은 문제없었지만 유료로 구입했던 Scrievner 를 재설치 하니 설정상에 문제가 생겼다. 라이센스 문제는 문의하여 재확인하여 해결하였는데 문제는 Dropbox 상의 호환문제였다. 맥북과 아이패드에서 작성한 글들을 Dropbox 를 통해 sync 하였는데 아이패드에서 Dropbox 연결까지 이상없음을 확인하였으나 작성한 project 파일들의 목록이 뜨지 않는다.

다시 스크리브너 제작사인 Literature & Latte 측에 문의 이메일을 통해 회신을 받았다. 아래 내용은 Literature & Latte 로 부터 수신한 이메일 내용이다.

  That feature is used to sync Scrivener with third party tools, such as other text editors. It has nothing to do with using Scrivener with iOS.

  You must install the Dropbox application (available from Dropbox's website). Doing so will provide you with a "local" Dropbox folder on your computer. This is where you should be moving your project to.
  Whatever you do, do not try to upload a Scrivener project using Dropbox's web interface. This will not work, because web browsers do not handle "packages" correctly. You must move the project into Dropbox using the local folder that appears when the Dropbox application itself is installed.
  
  
• Double Check Your Dropbox Settings in Scrivener for iOS
  Scrivener for iOS에서 왼쪽 사이드 패널을 연 다음 루트 레벨(프로젝트 목록이 나타나는 위치)에 도달할 때까지 뒤로 이동합니다. 패널의 왼쪽 상단 모서리에 있는 "편집" 옵션을 누른 다음 오른쪽 하단 모서리에 있는 "설정" 옵션(기어 모양)을 누릅니다. Dropbox 설정을 변경하는 옵션이 표시됩니다. 이를 통해 올바른 폴더가 할당되었는지 확인합니다.
  In Scrivener for iOS, open the left side-panel and then navigate back until you reach the root level (where the list of projects appear). Tap the "Edit" option in the top-left corner of the panel, then tap the "Settings" option (looks like a gear) in the bottom-right corner. You'll see the options for changing your Dropbox settings there. Use this to confirm that you have the proper folder assigned.
  
  
• 이 단계에서 문제 해결하였음.
  • 아이패드에서
    "편집" > "설정" > 폴더를 확인해 보았더니 "apps>scrivener (기본권장)" 으로 되어 있었음.
  • 맥북에서
    스크리브너 프로젝트 파일이 들어있는 드롭박스 폴더를 확인 (파인더에서 확인. + 드롭박스어플에서 재확인) 해 보았더니 "dropbox>scrievener" 폴더밑에 파일들이 있는것을 확인하고
  • 아이패드에서도
    "편집" > "설정" > 폴더를 "기타" 를 선택하여 "dropbox>scrievener" 로 설정하니 동기화가 이루어짐.
    
    
• 결국 안내에서 처럼 폴더지정이 문제였다.  
  
  
• 기억해 둘것. [아이패드에서 폴더 지정하는방법]
  • 스크리브너 실행화면 > 왼쪽 사이드패널 > 루트레벨 (프로젝트목록이 나타나는 위치) > 왼쪽상단 "편집" 옵션 > 오른쪽하단 "설정"옵션(기어모양) > 폴더선택 (맥북에서 지정된 폴더와 동일하게.)
  • 맥북에서 지정된 폴더가 뭔지 모르겠으면 그냥 파인더나 드롭박스 어플에서 스크리브너 프로젝트파일들이 있는 위치로 확인해도 됨

시놀로지 드라이브는 저장소인 동시에 오피스 기능과 탐색기 처럼 사용하여 파일을 관리할 수도 있는 어플리케이션이다. 시놀로지에서 무료로 배포한다.

Drive 를 이용해 데스크탑, 노트북, 랩탑, 모바일의 데이터를 내가 설정한 스케쥴에 맞춰 지속적으로 동기화 하여 저장 할 수 있다. 특히 양방향, 일방향 동기화 지정이 가능하다. 누적되는 데이터로 인해 디바이스의 디스크 용량이 부족해 지는 것을 신경쓰기 싫다면 일방향 동기화로 설정을 하여 NAS 에 디바이스의 데이터를 자동 저장되도록 해 놓고 디바이스에 있는 데이터들을 주기적으로 삭제한다면 디바이스 디스크 용량 부족 문제에서 해방 될 수 있다.

유료 사설 클라우드를 사용하는 것 보다 관리면이나 비용 면에서 NAS 를 개인 클라우드로 사용하는 것이 여러 면에서 유리하다. 보관 해야 할 데이터를 내가 직접 관리해서 보관 및 복원 할 수 있다는 점은 아주 큰 매력이다. NAS 는 데이터 보관의 안전성 또한 뛰어나기 때문에 안심하고 자료를 관리할 수 있다. 

또한 모바일에서 대부분의 데이터 용량을 차지하게 되는 사진, 동영상, 음악 파일들을 저장 해 주므로 수시로 디바이스에 있는 파일들을 삭제 하여도 된다. 휴대폰의 사진이나 동영상 자료는 시놀로지에서 무료로 제공하는 Moments 어플을 사용하면 된다. Moment 어플의 활용 방법은 다음에 별도로 정리해 보기로 하자.

이 글은 NAS 의 활용에 관한 내용 이므로 설치 및 설정에 대한 것은 다루지 않기로 한다. 다음에 기회가 되면 세부적인 설정 방법들을 소개하기로 하겠다.

필요하다면 보다 자세한 내용과 설정에 관하여 DSM 의 도움말을 참조 하도록 하자.

Synology Drive 에서 내가 가장 좋아하는 기능은 Synology office 이다. 

Synology office 는 시놀로지에서 별도로 제공하는 어플리케이션이지만 Synology drive 를 실행하면 통합되어 실행된다. 파일 생성 메뉴에서 원하는 종류의 파일을 생성하여 작업 할 수가 있다.

워드, 엑셀, 슬라이드(PPT) 작업을 따로 MS office 프로그램을 설치 하지 않더라도 문서작업이 가능하다. 마치 Office 365 처럼 인트라넷 또는 외부접속을 통해서도 문서를 새로 만들고 편집하고 저장할 수 있다. 워드는 그리 많이 사용하는 편이 아니지만 엑셀 작업을 많이 하는 관계로 이동 중에 작업이 필요한 경우가 많았는데 Synology office 를 사용하게 되면서 더이상 MS office 365 의 도움을 받지 않게 되었다. MS office 로 부터 해방 되었다. 프로그램 패키지 판매에서 구독 체계로 전환하여 이용 비용을 지속적으로 요구받는 상황에서 벗어나 경제적으로도 자유를 얻게 되었다.

내 소중한 자료를 남의 손에 맡겨 관리해야 하는 불안함 에서도 자유로와 졌다.

나의 라이프 스타일 측면 에서는 매우 큰 혁신이 이루어 진 것이다.

- 지금을 사는 나 -

Synology Drive is both a repository and an application that can be used to manage files like office functions and navigators. It is distributed free of charge by Synology.
Using Synology Drive, you can continuously synchronize and save data on your desktop, laptop, laptop, and mobile according to your schedule. In particular, two-way and one-way synchronization can be specified. My favorite function in Synology Drive is Synology office. 

The Synology office is a separate application from Sinology, but it is integrated and run when you run Synology drive. You can create and work on any kind of file in the File Generation menu.
Even if you don't install a separate MS office program for Word, Excel, and Slide (PPT), you can work on documents. You can create, edit, and save documents through an intranet or external connection, just like Office 365. Word is not used very much, but because of Excel work, it was often necessary to work on the move, but using the Synology office no longer helped by MS office 365 . Free from the MS office. The transition from program package sales to subscription systems has allowed economic freedom away from ever-demanding costs.
I was free from anxiety to manage my precious data in other people's hands.
In terms of my lifestyle, a very big innovation has been made.
