Three Easy Steps to See Your Plan in AR by David Drazil

Working from home and wanting a virtual model shop? In three quick and easy steps, sketch master David Drazil demonstrates how to transform your 2D plan into a virtual model using AR SketchWalk in Morpholio Trace. It's just like having a physical model on your desk! 


Step 01. Sketch Your Plan

David starts by drawing a plan using the Super Ruler and the Technical Pen to get perfectly straight and consistent lines. Be sure to fill in the walls so they extrude fully in AR. Tip: When you're done, scale the drawing to a model size so you can look at it on your desk when you view it in AR! 

 

Step 02. Tap AR SketchWalk

Tap the AR SketchWalk button on the top toolbar. Place the target where you want to start your AR experience and then press the “View in AR” button. You can then follow the steps on screen to enter into AR SketchWalk! Need more help? Find a full article here. Special note: AR is only available on iOS devices from 2018 and newer. 

 

Step 03. Walk Around Your Plan!

Now comes the fun! Move the slider on the left to adjust the height of the walls and look around your drawing in 3D through AR! Special Note: Use the capture button on the right to snap a screenshot and keep sketching on top of the view!
