IT markets change from time to time. Because of these changes, carriers and private cloud providers that provide cloud services change their services depending on the situation, sometimes try to change their plans and pay-for-transfer rates, and in some cases, the service itself is abolished, so I am not at all relieved to keep my valuable data in mind for a long period of time. Not only is it extremely cumbersome to move a lot of data and data around depending on the situation, but there are also services that cannot be uploaded, downloaded, or streamed depending on the data file format, so it is the reality that we can't move and back up the data to suit our taste. If you find a storage service that you like (mostly, IT companies that provide services that meet good conditions and requirements are often start-up IT companies), it often leads to poor service quality or paid conversion, which is also why you are not very keen on leaving personal data to a large company.
Many cloud service companies are encouraging paid subscriptions, which are pro or premium services, by limiting function or capacity. Unlike in the beginning, keeping the data accumulated over the years as a free account is inconvenient and limited in capacity due to the changed service policy, and it is difficult to find a free account to transfer hundreds of GB of data. In addition, all services are now being changed to a life-long pay-per-year trend for storing data, as the concept of subscription, which requires monthly fees, is now being paid instead, all services are being used. Even though there are still inconveniences and anxieties about storing data, as it is the fate of companies that survive in the turbulent IT market that may disappear at any time.
It is obvious how these companies will develop their profit structures through cloud services. First of all, if the number of users is increased by increasing the number of users through free services and the data of users accumulates to a certain extent, the method mentioned above limits the function or capacity of the service and naturally induces paid use. Naver did so, and EverNote, Dropbox, and Google Drive all took the same steps. What these companies are after is the next generation of media, 5G. The advent of the 5G era, which requires unprecedented data capacity, will open the door to the new cloud storage market. That's a huge Nordaj market coming up. That's why Google and Microsoft are so obsessed with the cloud market. The development of modern IT technology itself is different from the technological reform of the Industrial Revolution, which was aimed at addressing the inconvenience of living. In fact, further advances in technology and functions have been made unnecessarily, and without the capabilities currently being developed, there is actually no significant inconvenience in living. However, companies are clinging to developing new technologies and focusing on research to raise prices by adding new features to services. As if competing with each other, they are eager to announce their new functions first and dominate the market. They are scrambling to announce new products, boasting camera levels, speed, and memory that are too much for ordinary people to use. It is anxious to get ahead of market and monopolize the market by spending money to advance the launch date of the new product by even a day, poking at tens of thousands of employees. Since Bill Gates and Steve Jobs marked a new era in the IT world, only minor developments in performance, function and size have been made without any significant changes in innovative concepts. Already, limitations are emerging, and the cloud market is where companies that feel these limitations prepare for the concept of next-generation innovation. It seems that companies that dominate the cloud market, which is the core of securing big data, will be able to grab the global IT market, even in order to provide AI services that hold users by identifying personal preferences, tastes, and preferences through the network.
The trend of the IT market will change that way, but from the perspective of individual users, these companies' movements are not very welcome news. The company is aiming for a profit system that will not dry out forever by throwing bait that users will not be able to escape.
An article on commercial cloud companies' business strategies in June 2020 explains their profit structure through the cloud. I think it would be good to refer to.
So I bought the technology NAS DS918+.
The initial cost was formidable, but I was able to dispel my concerns about storing my precious data at once with a safe method of storage without the burden of paying a lifetime fee even with anxiety about data storage. I don't think we need to worry about storage capacity for a long time with 16 terabytes of 4 bays. Besides, it is not just for data storage. Using the download station, you can download the torrent file on your NAS on your own and save the downloaded file on your own. With video stations and audio stations, you can listen to music and watch videos anywhere in the world through file streaming, which is mortgaged to your NAS. Not just music and videos. If you use Docker, you can mount it on my IPTV and watch real-time TV from outside.
Personal servers can also be built and used. Having a private server makes quite a few things possible. I can build a mail server and make my own email account and use it. Real-time music broadcasts or video broadcasts are available, and personal homepages or commercial online shopping malls can be operated. Of course, sharing and collaboration with others are basically supported across all NAS features. Any data stored on the NAS can be managed at any time, such as uploading, downloading, saving, and deleting files. If you use a drive station, you no longer need to use paid web hard services to share files.MacBook Pro, a time machine, can be used as a backup space for laptops, and mobile phone data can also be automatically backed up to NAS. This means that even if the device is no longer initialized, there is no need to worry about losing data. It can also be freed from the hassle of having to move and store photos or video files stored on the phone because it is full of cell phone storage capacity. NAS can even synchronize with private cloud services. You can synchronize your Google drive or Evernote to automatically save it to your NAS, or you can use your Note Stations to sync your Evernote in both directions. This means that you can edit and manage your records and memos using a note station without using the Evernote. This feature allows the T-Story blog to load up Evernote's writing, so I've been drafting blog posts at Evernote, which is relatively good at editing, so making this work possible on NAS is nothing short of creating a huge support force for me.
Virtual Machine Manager also allows you to install virtual operating systems on your NAS, which can help you have multiple computers in different operating systems. In other words, the NAS has Windows10, Linux, and Macintosh OS installed, giving you an amazing experience that you can use across multiple operating systems no matter where you are or when you are on the planet. This is significant in that it goes beyond simply storing data through the cloud to maximize productivity beyond the constraints of location and time. Of course, the economic comparison with paid cloud services may be meaningless, given that multiple people can use the same functions at the same time by giving them rights and multiple accounts instead of using them alone. Even NAS management is available anytime, anywhere, wherever the Internet is available. Simply log in via Quick connect on the web to manage all the settings on your NAS.
With this connection between the Internet service in my home and the NAS, all of these features are available anytime, anywhere. The features that can be implemented through the technology NAS can be divided into six broad categories, providing a free and powerful application for each function.
First, file management and backup
Second, storing, synchronizing, backing up and streaming multimedia
Third, deploying mail and private Web servers, FTP servers
Fourth, document operation
Fifth, using virtual OS
Sixth, multi-user authority and account transfer management
In addition, if users only use their imagination, how to use NAS is truly endless.
The purpose of my use of NAS is ultimately to maximize productivity, free from time and place constraints. There is no longer a need to be tied to the office for the use of various equipment. Imagine a life where you can find the freedom to sit in a virtual office and work on the move. Imagine listening to the beautiful music combined with the sound of birds and wind and water, buried in the vast Mother Nature, not the stuffy music listening room. Imagine me watching a great movie with a full screen under a starry sky. Imagine a free life traveling around the world, sending, storing, downloading, sharing and collaborating. Imagine a moving moment when you share a wonderful world with your subscribers in real-time broadcasting. Imagine a situation where, even on a trip, you can make sales with a click, and you can safely preserve customer care and databases under your control.
I'm not dreaming. It's too easy to realize.
Epilogue...
The following is a text message from KT MStorage, which did not feel much usability.
The following is an example of the abolition of services (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Naver, Daum, One Note, Ever Note, etc.) that have been used for many years. Due to termination and policy change, there was no moment to feel at ease.

KT MStorage Service Termination Guide
Hello, I'm the KT MStorage service operator.
KT MStorage service will be closed on September 10, 2020 after a new subscription restriction on August 10, 2020.
Due to the change in the business environment, it was difficult to provide the service continuously, so we had to decide to end it.
Please note that both phone back-up and data upload/download are not possible after the end of the service, and data may be destroyed after the end date.
If you are using KT MStorage service, please download the entire data of KT MStorage service before September 10, 2020.
We sincerely thank you for your support and sincerely apologize for not continuing this service. I will try to repay you with better service.
Thank you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a way, it seems very irresponsible. A one-sided withdrawal of the service is being made by saying that although it is a promise with use, we apologize for the change in the business environment because there is no legal responsibility (not particularly pointing out KT). Most similar services are much the same, but in the same situation) eventually have to move data within a limited period of time. Due to this one-sided tyranny of service providers, I have done a lot of data transfer work like boat people. It reminds me of a joke to a disgruntled office worker, saying, "If you don't like it, you own it." It reminds me of the drama "Three Families of Han Ji-bung," which depicts the sorrow of living in a rented room.
But now you don't have to wander from place to place depending on the operator's situation. I'm the owner of my own storage that I can control and manage myself.
